Some definitions of medical terms
Here are some of the terms used in the product descriptions defined.Back brace - This is any application or apparatus to be worn to support the spinal column, the posture or the body shape, or to correct misconfigurations of the spinal column.
Catheter- Any kind of tube that is inserted in a body opening or connected to the body for any purpose is called a cathter. Most often a catheter is used to drain or instill fluids, for example urine catheters inserted into the urethra.
Enema - Enema is instilling lluids into the rectum and possible also the colon. It is usually done with a syringe inserted some centimeters into the rectum, but can also be instilled by a flexible tube inserted figher up in the rectum or colon. Usually an enama is used to clean out the content of the terminal part of the digestive tract (rectum and colon). It is also used to instill contrast substances by x-ray or ultrasound investigations
Irrigation- Irrigation is the same as flushing some hollow cavity clean with water or special rinsing fluids and by some tube or equipment that reaches into the place where the substance to be cleaned out is. The fluid may be set to run in and out continuously or pumped in and expelled many times after each other. Medically irrigation of the rectum and bowel is most frequently done, but irrigation of the nose, ear, eye, vagina or bladder may also sometimes be performed.

Foley catheter- A special kind of tube to drain urine, bladder irrigation or installation of drugs into the bladder. It has one channel for drainage, one channelø for irrigation and a baloon that can be inflated with air through a third channel. The ballon holds the catheter in place in the bladder.
Syringe- Any equipment with a conical or thin end used to press flud into the body or draw fluid out of the body is called a syringe.
Hypodermal syringe - This is the common device with a hollow needle to be stuck through the skin and used to press fluid into the body or draw fluids out of the body.
Percussion massage - This a massage techique where repetitive movements, vibration or hits down and up on the field being massaged are performed. It is also called tapotement massage.

What is chiropractics
Chiropractic, from the greek Kheir-hand, and praktikos- action, is a practice which states the objective of maintaining and restoring human health, through the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of its functional deficiencies by focusing on the total nervous system, assuming that it controls all other systems of the human body and the anatomical structures around the components of the nerval system. It brings special attention to the spine that contains the spinal cord.
The assumption, in particular, is that the
dysfunction of the spinal cord may interfere with what they call the innate
ability of body to heal itself and that this dysfuncion is connected to
anatomical lockings, blockages or misallignments in the spinal culomn or other
structures that containe nerve channals or ganglia..
Chiropractic care is in many countries generally considered an alternative
medicine, but this definition is disputed by most chiropractors.
Chiropractic emphasizes manipulation (including spinal manipulation) and
includes a work of counseling on "lifestyles".
Definision
The word chiropractic is related to the study, diagnosis, treatment and
prevention of disorders consisting of echeletal, muscular and neural
misallignments or blockages and their effects on the general state of health of
humans and vertebrate animals. It is 'practiced throughout the world and is
standard in some forty national jurisdictions, some of which have created
university degrees for it.
Symptoms and practice
Chiropractics concider more than 250 symptoms or diagnoses to be of relevance
for its use, and there are more than one hundred different chiropractical
methods in use, even though a dozen of them are prevelently used.
Important in chiropractics is the diagnosis of subluxation, ie joint or segmental lesions with altered alignment, kinetic integrity and physiological function even if the contact between the articular surfaces remains intact.
Chiropractic has developed its own theoretical model of the subluxation complex, consisting of the representation of a dysfunctional motion segment and interactions pathological nerve tissues, muscles, ligaments, vascular and connective.
According to the theory, the subluxation itself will produce symptoms and can cuase seondary disorder at the place of teh subluxation or in organs innervated from that site.
It has also produced important scientific discoveries, for example in the anatomy of the sacroiliac joint, the vertebral facet joints, the intervertebral foramen ], the nuchal ligament .
Chiropractic treatment techiques

Contraindications
The chiropractic spinal adjustments are generally contraindicated in cases of hypoplastic epistropheus tooth, bone odontoid instability, acute fracture, spinal cord tumor, osteomyelitis, septic column tuberculosis, cancer of the meninges, or spinal hematoma intracanalicolare, malignant tumors spread to the spinal column, frank disc herniation with progressive neurologic deficit, basal invagination of the upper cervical spine, Arnold-Chiari malformation of the upper cervical spine, dislocation of vertebra, aneurysmal bone cyst, giant cell tumor, osteoid osteoma or osteoblastoma, neoplastic disease of muscle or soft tissue, syringomyelia, hydrocephalus, diastematomielia, cauda equina syndrome, congenital hypermobility, positive signs of Kernig or Lhermitte, and the presense of artifacts of fixation or stabilization .
In all other cases, chiropractic manipulations and
corrections are usually indicated and safe . Adverse reactions or complications
related to chiropractic maneuvers would be extremely rare .
